About LogRaker

Hi, I'm Thomas Gumz, and I make LogRaker. I'm a retired software engineer and former IBMer gone solo-dev, and these days I'm enjoying life living and traveling on my boat.

Why I built it

Life on the boat runs on a lot of computers. Besides lots of UniFi gear, there's a Jetson Nano, a Victron Cerbo GX, and my deployments on Firebase and AWS. Every one of them writes logs, and when something goes wrong, the answer is usually spread across several of them.

Instead of juggling terminal windows and IDE tabs to follow them, I wanted a native Mac app that focuses on one thing: watching and monitoring logs, live, and lining up events across all of them, so I can see what happened where, and when. LogRaker is that app.

The best ideas usually come from solving a problem for yourself first. LogRaker scratched my own itch, and I hope it scratches yours too.
