Streams Settings

The Streams tab of Settings controls the defaults applied to new Streams and how much log output each Stream keeps.

Stream defaults

Default icon for new Streams - the icon given to newly created Streams. Click the icon button to pick a different icon. Existing Streams keep their already assigned icons.
Initial history - how many recent lines appear when you open a Stream, so you start with some context instead of a blank window. Set it to zero to follow only new output.
Scrollback limit - how many lines a Stream keeps on screen. The oldest lines drop off as new output arrives.
Monitor matches - how many hits each Monitor keeps, from 250 to 5,000. The oldest drop off as new ones arrive, so this is also how far back 'Reset from Here' reaches: its mark lives until that many newer matches have pushed it out. Lowering it trims what the Monitors are already holding.

Reset to Defaults restores these Stream settings to their factory values.
